Design Philosophy
How This Journey Was Crafted
This is a cultural corridor spanning the Amdo and Jiarong Tibetan regions, starting from the Yellow River valley on the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, crossing the Ruoergai Grassland, traversing the Hengduan Mountains, and finally reaching the Chengdu Plain. Along the way, we will visit famous Tibetan Buddhist monasteries including Labrang Monastery, Langmusi, Huiyuan Monastery, and Tagong Monastery, visit herder families to experience highland nomadic life, cross Danba Jiarong Tibetan villages, and feel the cultural fusion of Tibetan, Qiang, and Han ethnicities. We follow the remaining footprints of the ancient Tea Horse Road, feel the震撼 of ancient Shu civilization at the Sanxingdui Museum, and experience the leisurely life of Bashu in Chengdu People's Park. This route is not merely a geographical crossing, but a deep reading of the diverse civilizations of western China.

Day 1
Arrive Lanzhou 抵达兰州
Fly from Beijing to Lanzhou. Check into the hotel. Free time in the evening; taste Lanzhou beef noodles and experience the culinary culture of this northwestern hub.

Day 2
Lanzhou–Xiahe 兰州–夏河
Depart from Lanzhou, crossing the Laji Mountains toward Xiahe. Enjoy the grassland and river valley scenery on the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Check in upon evening arrival in Xiahe.

Xiahe · Labrang Monastery 夏河·拉卜楞寺

Day 4
Xiahe–Langmusi Town 夏河–郎木寺镇
Depart from Xiahe, cross the Gajang Pass, and arrive at Langmusi Town. This small town on the Sichuan-Gansu border is known as the "Switzerland of the East," with the White Dragon River running through it, allowing you to step into two provinces in one day.

Day 5
Langmusi–Herder Family 郎木寺镇–牧民家
Morning visit to Seca Monastery and the Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture Museum in Langmusi Town. Afternoon visit to a herder family in the Hei River pasture, sitting around the tent drinking butter tea and sharing daily highland life.

Day 6
Herder Family–Ruoergai 牧民家–若尔盖
Depart from the herder family, crossing the Flower Lake and Ruoergai Grassland. Glimpse the magnificent winding Yellow River panorama en route. Check in upon arrival in Ruoergai.

Day 7
Ruoergai–Maerkang 若尔盖–马尔康
Depart from Ruoergai, cross the Changfeng Mountain, and enter the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province. Enjoy the alpine meadow scenery along the upper Min River on the way. Check in upon arrival in Maerkang.

Day 8
Maerkang–Danba 马尔康–丹巴
Depart from Maerkang, pass through the Zhegu Mountain Tunnel, and enter the Dadu River Valley. Admire the golden cherry blossoms (spring) or golden autumn leaves (autumn) of Danba Tibetan villages along the way. Check in upon arrival in Danba.

Full day exploring Danba Tibetan villages, seeking every watchtower that has withstood war and earthquake. Visit Jiaju Tibetan Village to learn about the unique watchtower culture and architectural art of the Jiarong Tibetans.

Day 10
Danba–Kangding 丹巴–康定
Depart from Danba, cross the Zheduo Mountain pass (4,298m), gazing at the magnificent Gongga Snow Mountain. Descend along the Dadu River valley toward Kangding, experiencing the passionate atmosphere of the Kham Tibetan region.

Day 11
Kangding–Ya'an 康定–雅安
Depart from Kangding, drive south along National Highway 318, pass through the Erlangshan Tunnel, and enter the Ya'an area. In the afternoon, visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, exploring the birthplace of the first giant panda ever discovered.

Chengdu · Sanxingdui & People's Park 成都·三星堆与人民公园
Full day exploring Chengdu. Morning visit to the Sanxingdui Museum (if not visited the previous day). Afternoon at People's Park, brewing a bowl of gaiwan tea to experience the leisurely life of Bashu.

Chengdu–Beijing 成都–北京
